Restoration
since 1994

-A new roof to protect the shell.

-Insulating the attic.

-Replacement of rotten sill timbers, using timber cut on Davies Manor
        land and hewn in same manner as Royster’s workers.

-Weakened and broken roof rafters and joists have been replaced.

-Cross beams have been installed to support second floor of the house.

-Plank additions and window frames have been scraped and painted.

-First and second floor walls have been re-daubed with the correct,
        soft mix.  Also, the chimneys have been re-pointed and capped.

-Original log walls of the first cabin have been re-daubed; thus enabling
        visitors to better visualize the cabin exterior.

-Restored early 20th century tenant cabin.

-Outfitted turn-of-the-century country doctor's office.
